Hi guys

I just bought a '84 Sedan DeVille and am waiting for Amazon to deliver my Chilton manual for it so I'm going to have to ask you guys a few questions...

The front speakers in the top of the dash look like 6x4" - is that right? Or are they 5x7"?

Also how do I get them out? Do the grilles remove and they come out of the top, or are they like some cars I have struggled with a few times in the past where you have to take half the back of the dash out and drop them from below?

I didn't like to start pulling dash stuff apart without knowing what I'm about.

You have to take the top of the dash off there should be a screw on the left and the right side and ones by the vents then it just pulls back toward you off some clips

Oh and they are 4x6 plates

Dash pad comes off this way,

1. 2 Screws on end of the pad, ONE ON EACH SIDE
2. 4 screws threw the vents for the defroster on the top of the pad
3. Feel the top part of the instrument cluster surround, there is a access hole for a screw
4. feel the top inside part of the glove box, there is another access hole for a screw.
5. Pull up and out and your all set!!!

Thanks for you help guys. Any issues with depth? I am going to order some new speakers and don't want to find they don't fit when I get everythign apart...
