Now that is awesome! I love it how the cops don't care that these bystanders are all videotaping the whole incident.

Maybe he can crabwalk his way out of the showers? After he drops the soap..

Maybe the criminals like the missing fingers. I don't know how, but it could be like no front teeth all gums or something.

Did anyone see the mud on that skyline? If some guy did this, he'd be detailing my car every day for a month!

That mud was so perfectly placed (no splatters on the side or anything) that I almost believe it was "applied" to cover up the license plate. Just a thought.

Have you guys checked the thread today and seen the newspaper article scan? The car owner is standing next to his laptop with the picture of Claw Boy and throwing up the claw- hilarious.

Okay, maybe he put the mud on there for a reason. He's still an idiot.

OK, I'm about as far away from the "bleeding heart", "pamper the criminal, screw the victim", kind of guy as you can get -- but -- if you had spent your 18 years (stereotypically not known for having the most common sense in the world to start with) being called "Lobster Boy" (in addition to having whatever that condition is -- there's a name, it was on Nip/Tuck, so it has to be true ;) )....well let's just say that might make you an idiot.

Maybe even enough of an idiot to steal some old trophy ricer from a what looks to be 35 yr old guy w/a Fast and the Furious wannabe fetish (also an idiot for spending $35K on it)...

I'm just saying....

Now, feel free to flame away -- I can take it.

(EDIT -- Sorry, the owner is 27, not 35..... (ouch)

When you're that easily identified, I don't think face to face crime is a brilliant idea.

Yeah, you'd think he'd at least hide his hands....or wear mittens.

Anyone else find it funny that an owner of a Skyline would wear an M-B hat?

This isn't just some piece of rice. Its a freaking Skyline.

Skyline. Yay. My Honda isn't just some piece of rice. It's an ACCORD. With a custom drivers front corner!

:)

True. The Skyline isn't your typical ricer d-bag car. It's the car that all the ricers try to emulate. Arguably the most coveted Japanese car ever. It's like the 1969 Corvette L88 of Japanese cars.

What? A stowen Skyrine?

And the kids a Canuck, that free medical care gave him a permanent SHOCKER!!

And anyone wearing that hat should be in jail on principle anyway, ESPECIALLY with it cocked sideways.

What is a Skyline? Did they release it here, or was it Japan only? I can't imagine any Japanese car from 1991 other than an NSX being worth all the fuss.

(Well...maybe a 300ZX Turbo....)

MauiV

The Gran Tourismo games made em famous. The are all wheel drive and handle on a rail.

Never imported to the US, the new GT-R is esentially a Skyline in everything but name.

hueterm
03-30-08, 07:25 PM
Huh -- well, then I guess they are worth freaking out over. I wonder if the thief really knew what it was he was stealing...?

I~LUV~Caddys8792
03-30-08, 07:29 PM
I'd imagine he stole it because it was a Skyline. They are super, super rare to see in the US.

hueterm
03-30-08, 07:35 PM
If they were so hot, why didn't they get exported here? There had to have been a market -- would they not pass federal regs?

I~LUV~Caddys8792
03-30-08, 08:08 PM
I'd imagine it was because of federal reguations, on the safety and emissions side. But maybe Nissan withheld them from the US on purpose? Japanese manufacturers have a history of doing that to us.

He owns a Dealership, and I believe they sell primarily MBs.
