Am looking at a very nice $3500 1991 Cadillac Sedan Deville for a fun/drive a round town car. What can I expect for MPG and potential problems. It has 95,000 one owner, well maintianed miles.

I'd definitely pick it up for that kinda money and low mileage. I had a '92 Sedan deVille for two and a half years and I loved that car. I bought it on December 15, 2004 with 99,098 on it and sold it on September 23, 2007 with 140,2xx on it.....that car never left me stranded. And I didn't have a whole lot of problems with it.

They're a pretty reliable car...not many problems with those cars. Whatever they had for problems, they were fixed by that time...as the car was introduced back for '85 and has been updated and facelifted since. The 4.9L V8 is extremely durable and quite powerful, especially at lower speeds....the engine just oozes low end torque, but a lot of the 4.9's had a main bearing thump....which isn't gonna hurt anything at all, just causes an annoying thumping sound at low speeds when the engine is turning a low rpm.

I had a lot of fun with mine and would highly recommend it. What kinda options does it have? What's the color combo like?

:yeah: and pictures? They are fantastic cars and I think they are the best DeVilles Cadillac ever made. Mine is a little older and has the 4.5, but I get roughly 14-15 city and 22-25 highway. Yours has a bigger engine, but they also switched to port injection after my car, so you will still get a little better mileage.

Most of the problems I can think of are easy enough to fix yourself, but these cars had very few to begin with. The one that I see happen a few times is the the guide for the window will break and window will get stuck down. Happened to me and it took me an hour to fix. Its just a little plastic piece that snaps back into place.
