Just picked up a 94 Deville, my problem: The car starts fine, after driving for awhile and turning it off it wont restart untill you let the car cool of for 20 or 30 min.? Is it a eng. block ground problem?

You can also use a 5/16" wrench to tighten the terminals: first, disconnect the negative cable. Then remove the (+) cable. A light scrape with some 120-grit sandpaper or a file on both surfaces should put you right. Reattach and do the same with the (-) terminal. If these steps do not eliminate your problem (and/or if the battery passes the load test), make sure it is fully charged, and then investigate grouding/starter problems. You could also have a starter that is slowly letting go...eventually it will leave you stranded (I've had this happen...it went from intermittent no-starts to no start!) joelmaurice 04-05-08, 04:47 PM help i just bought a 1994 sls and it died and has no spark any ideas joelmaurice 04-05-08, 04:49 PM no spark when cranking just started replaced crank sensor cam sensor spark cont mod in ready to flip out joelmaurice 04-05-08, 04:53 PM help me yall | |
