Does anyone know if 22 inch wheels will fix on a 2005 or newer STS?

I am pretty sure they will fit...I think there are a few people on here running 22's but I am sure it depends on the offset.

Nice, I have had my STS for 2 plus years now, and I am ready to upgrade now...or trade in, but I love it too much, so upgrade sounds like the answer!

Thanks

I have 22" by 8.5" on my 07. The front rub a little sometimes, but not as much as I thought they would.

you should of put some tints on it, i personally think it makes every car look better, thats the first thing i did when i got my car, tints>20's>custom badging>Grille>EGX body kit> and now 22's and maybe lowering it

next week i will post some pics with the 22s on it.

Do you have any pics?

And Nickydags post those pics when you put that lowering kit on. I'm looking to lower mine also. But I dont know if i can go much lower on the front because they already rub so I might just lower the back a little.

Yes I'd like to see some pics of any of you guys rides with 22's.. hows much does the ride change with those size rims? I still have my stock 17's on it right now...grrrr...

The ride isnt much different...obviously a little bit rougher with the smaller sidewall...but I've had big wheels on almost every car/truck Ive ever owened so I guess I am used to it by now. There is a slight trade off of ride quality for good looks....but it still rides like a cadillac ...even on the 22's with a 30 series sidewall......

22's look good... Ride isn't a huge factor... You will feel a difference...Gotta give some to get some

Install went pretty easily....nothing out of the ordinary....as Im sure everyone,,(most anyway...I hope) will agree ,the look is totally badass.......this drop used the 1.5 inch Intrax units..... 22 x 7 inch Velocity wheels...with 245/30/22 inch Hankook tires....nothing rubs....have full lock to lock steering capibility....no problems/issues at all...now it's off to the alignment rack and we will be all set. Please let me know what you think........ Hope the pictures are enough for those of you who had questions concerning the lowering...any more questions hit me with a PM or use the forum.....thanks....Nick

I just bought a 2008 STS, if i put 22's on it, will i have problems with stabilitrak, tire pressure, and odometer readings?

The ride is looking sweet! I need to lower mine also. I am done with the 4 wheel drive look!

nickydags

both my stabilitrak and traction control are in perfect working order....as long as your 22" wheels have Tire Pressure Monitors installed in them you can reprogram the car to read them instead of your stock wheels, so no problem there either.....and depending on wheel/tire size ...most of the time the actual diameter of the total rolling stock doesnt change much due to the fact that you go up on rim size but down on tire sidewall.......Im sure if there is a descrepency anyone with a handheld scanner/programmer can recalibrate your speedo to your new tire/wheel size....
