I'm looking through a friends All Data procedures and it is pretty detailed, recently when I fill my car up with gas I get a very strong gas smell I been told it can be the EVAP canister, here is a picture I found of it but is that showing the rear of the car or front?

Also as for as the blower motor all it says is "upper right side of instrument panel", would that be directly to right of my gauges basically making it the center of the dash? I just want to know if its accessed through the drivers side floor or passengers side behind the glove box etc? Anyone have any suggestion for a loud blower motor, mine works fine it just a ticking/tapping noise similiar to what a fan would make with a piece paper being hit by it or some sort of debris in there, would spraying compressed air from the top behind the air filter move anything around in there?

The picture of the EVAP canister is from under the car in the rear near the tank I believe.

The blower would best be accessed from the passengers side. Try removing the cabin air filter and see if you can see anything down in there. If it is missing, it is likely that you got some leaves down there. Might get access to the squirrel cage through the filter opening, but I can remember for sure. Take a look.

Thanks for the quick reply, would the canister be the cause of my gas smell? It goes away once the car gets below 3/4 of a tank.

And the filter looks pretty much new thats in there and I have tried looking with a flash light and I cant see much in there just some black plastic nothing that resembles leaves or any type of debris, but I know something has to be in there if I leave the blower on a high for a lil then back to low it sounds perfect no noise at all if I hit a bump or something after you can hear the annoying tapping/ticking again, I plan on replacing since either way its already 7yrs old might as well.

If the gas smell is quantity related I would start looking for a leak. Maybe the filler pipe. Start looking around when the smell is there for a wet spot.

If the filter was in place, then it is unlikely that anything got down into the blower. Maybe the bearing is starting to go. Only an inspection will tell.
