Hi I have a 2002 Cadillac DHS. When I got the car back in 2007 I noticed the light next to the Emergency button on the mirror GREEN N recently when I turn the car on it stay green for about 10 mins or so then out of nowhere it turns RED Plz help cuz this is starting to get annoying! I tried connecting to Onstar but I never stablish a connection with them. I mean its not always red there are times when the light goes back to green then red once again. I there something wrong with the car??? Or does it have to do anything with the Onstar Communications itself??? Another thing. Sometimes on the dash it sometimes switches to
PHONE ON to PHONE NO SERVICE
Its been doing this quite a bit when driving. Should I take the car to the dealer or what should I do??? Please HELP MEEE!!!!!

On the rear window is an antenna base patch connector with a small black BNC plug. The plug is spring loaded: it does not screw onto the connector. Grab the plug body and gently pull it off the connector, straight toward the outer window edge. Reconnect. Do it again. Green light ???
Have you done the OnStar upgrade yet?? If you haven't, your system is shut down. Go to www.OnStar.com and log into the upgrade site. You'll need to set up 1. A visit to the dealer for info retrieval, and 2. When the new parts come in, a return visit, about 2 hours and a year's subscription + $15. Labor is included in the basic upgrade, so about $130 total (as of 9-14-07).

Yep.............and your phone system and emergency services are coming to an end pretty quickly, if not already.

Yep.................Takes a morning after the dedicated parts come in, and the dealer has to order them for your particular VIN, so there's a back-and-forth hassle. If you never had the phone service, it's expensive per minute for chit-chat, but the hands free comes in handy once in a while.
