Can anyone out there tell me what these are supposed to be? I found them in the boot (oops, I mean trunk) with the jack, brace etc along with a couple of October 1973-issue highway flares......

They look like extra oil and transmission fluid dip sticks.

Lol extra dip sticks in case one breaks on the side of the road, or falls out going down the highway Lol :P

I wonder if they are even parts that belong to the car.
Might they be something which the previous owner used to hold the boot lid (deck lid/trunk lid) down when carrying something too big to close the lid?
I mean something before bungee cords were common.
(Yeah, I keep bungee cords in the trunk when my wife makes runs to the garden shop.):mad:
