Thanks mattroberts123 for the idea and write-up ( http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-escalade-ext-esv-forum-2007/126935-how-joey-mod-black-clear-your.html ) !

Completing this on my escalade was not as straight forward as the how-to thread sounds. This is WORK ya'll. It took me about +6 hours to from headlight removal to headlight install. I'll post some how-to instructions as soon as I have time to write them all out. They are very similar to mattroberts123 how-to instructions ( http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-escalade-ext-esv-forum-2007/126935-how-joey-mod-black-clear-your.html ) with some slight differences.

I am pleased with the results.

The first Joey mod'd Escalade I've seen

I have two customer that did that to their black trucks, looks great, one of them did not do a good sealing job for whatever reason and now his lights are full of condesation, the other truck is fine. :)

Looks good:thumbsup:I have done a few sets as well but without painting the lens just clearing it out. Why didnt you remove the amber reflector?

Removing the amber reflector I thought was to risky. I didn't want to seal them back up and then hate they way the looked without the reflector.

"Just clearing it out"? How do you clear them out? What does that look like?

I was wondering what those looked like with that mod, I didn't like it on the truck in the sticky, but yours looks good.

I like it! Looks good. Well done.

It looks better on an Escalade than a Denali.

WOW! That looks good! Looks like my escalade. Now I'm thinking of modding my headlights with quicksilver and taking out the reflector.

What do you guys think?

Works for the corvette's right? Color matched headlights.

I did this on my Denali. I am suprised more people aren't doing it. These are the first 2 escalades I've seen with the mod either blacked out or removing the amber for the clear look. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v627/VeeDubKidd/P1010137.jpg

I like it on the black trucks, have seen some on lighter colors and it did not look as good. IMO
