Hello All,
I have a 94 Deville, 4.9 engine, original am,fm cassette stereo. The clock stays illuminated all the time when the car is off. Is this normal? Thanks.

When you open the door, do your interior lights turn on? If you have Retained Accessory Power and your dome lights aren't turning on when you open the door, then it will stay on. No, its not normal.

Hello, Thanks for responding. Yes, my interior lights do come on when I open the door. There are no floor interior lights that illuminate. I just purchased the car. The other things not working are, the premium unleaded fuel on the dash is not working but all other guages are working. The service ride control light comes on when you start the car, but if you hit reset it stays off until you start the car again. I found a mechanic receipt that said service ride control disconnected. I checked the fuses in the trunk and they seem to be ok. Could it be a fuse in the box, under the hood? Thanks.

Go to this link and read my story. It is for my 1999 Deville but it may help you!

Hello,
Thanks for the reply. My radio does turn off when I open the door. But its the clock on the radio that stays on all the time. I will check out the retained power circuit. There are a few electrical items that do not work, but all the fuses are good. Electrical troubleshooting. Gotta love it. Thanks for the info gentleman.

If it doesn't drain the battery on you, just forget about it.
