weli, i did it. i actually bought a Cadillac. i got a helleva deal on a 2000 DeVille. It's the Bronzemist with a dark brown mock top. 93000 miles. driven by an old women. got it for $5000. Drives like new. couple things though.

• key fob does not work. i checked the fcc numbers and they are to the car but do not work.

• loud hummer noise every so often when heat is on. to the point of vibrating the pedals.

• few dings here and there. one good one on the trunk lid near the bumper.

3 (hopefully) minor problems. i can't complain too much i guess. anyone know what that humming sounds is, I'd appreciate it much.

I'll post pics tomorrow. she needs a good waxing also!

btw the deal on the 67 fleetwood i had goin fell through... (the guy ended up telling me he wasn't selling, just making it look good for the wife)

You should've punched him in the face for wasting your time and then told his wife why he had a bloody nose.

It's probably the motor for the rear. IIRC, the front passenger temps are controlled with doors while the rear has a separate fan. It's not too awful to get at, but personally I'd just hit the PASS OFF button an fugghetaboutit.

I always know when my son has been goofing around with the rear controls when I hear that fan roaring. Hitting PASS OFF stops it.

so i photochopped what i would like this to turn into... whatcha think? The dark brown at the bottom would match the dark brown top.

Nice car, If I was gonna pay for a two tone paint job, I would pick a flashier color than that. you gonna get a new grill?

The color is what i have to deal with at the money i spent. It was a very good deal, i couldn't turn it down. i really wanted a black on black. but hey... all the black on black ones i found were out of town and over $8k This is to be a budget car so i can talk the wife into a 2007 or newer within a few years lol

yeah, new grill. probably the eg classic grill.
