View Full Version : Move over Morgan aero 8, the Bentley S3 has arrived

This ominous, retro-inspired design study is the creation of automotive engineer Arturo Alonso from Bentley Boys USA and is tipped to enter production if it receives enough interest. Alonso and his team are planning to build just three cars, each at a cost of $150,000, at a the painstakingly slow rate of just one every eight months and plans to promote them to possible buyers in cities like Dubai, New York and Moscow.

The car is styled after the original Bentley S3 from the 1960s and includes the same four-headlamp layout design, vertical grille and a V8 powertrain. In this case the powerplant is a BMW-sourced 4.4L unit with close to 300hp and driving the rear wheels via a five-speed ZF automatic transmission.

Although the complete mechanical package hasnít been confirmed, designers hope to use the original S3 body and chassis. The cars also get a dual air conditioning system, leather and suede trim, a stainless steel exhaust system and 20in forged wheels wrapped with 275mm Continental Sport tires.

I saw that on AB... not really a fan. I have a love/hate relationship with these "retro" jobs...

And Morgans? To quote the genius that is James May... "Morgans are just cars they forgot to stop making in the 1940s..."

Sorry, but a wooden chassis isn't my cup of tea.

The body is nice, they just need to lose the ghetto wheels and put normal ones so that you can actually turn the car when you drive it

Eww, I'd expect tp see Hitler popping up out of the sunroof. Done in a tasteful color with decent wheels it could be a decent looking car. Seems to me you'd have more power underneath that long hood though.

2 door, a different roof line and I'd be all over that thing....upsetting about the power output though.

Good lord, could that thing have a bigger hood? And how do you see out of green windows?
