After ~2 months of sitting in the garage loading the HDD , I have figured out the 'more like this' soft button. I think.
The button now appears again ( after loading up the HDD with mp3's ) at the end of the playlists list using the main select knob. ( before playlists are created it appears at the top level and then kinda disappears after loading the HDD and maiking 5-6 playlists).
While playing mp3's I launched it several times and saw that the Gracenote logo come on while it searches. It failed to find anything on most of my music that comes from random sources.( sometimes 'no info' on album/artist for example)
I believe it is designed to work on albums/genre's that are loading from commercial CD's that match an entry in Gracenote.
If anyone has found a way to better leverage the feature please let us know. For now it seems that the feature has limited function on your personal music mp3 files loaded by USB/cd/dvd.
