I'm trying to get to my turn-signal cam (inside steering column) on a '68 deVille. Shop manual calls for a J-22598 Actuator cover remover and slide hammer. Tried rigging up something similar to the picture, but it didn't work. Also calls for a J-21853 actuator cover installer when I'm done (looks easier to make). Anyone know where I can get these tools or what else I can try?
I did manage to fabricate a tool to remove the horn actuator assembly since the new tool GM uses won't work.

Hey all,
Found out that Autozone had a loaner tool that worked for what I needed (the column cover removal anyway)
GM's new horn-ring installation tool was too big for my ole Caddy, so I made my own out of a PVC fitting and a piece of threaded rod. I forgot how much fun this car stuff was.:)
