contact luke at lindsay cadillac...they're a supporting vendor which can be found at the top of the main forum page....they can help you, for alot less than 600...

I am still looking for one also (have one on order with dealership), I've been driving my car around illegally without plates (wont pass inspection) for over 2 months now

I called Lindsay caddillac, they told me the same thing my local dealership told me

this is pretty ****ed Im suprised theres not more discussion on this, the part is on backorder with GM and on top of that its not even covered by my extended warranty, $700 after installation and its only a 2005!!!!! All because of a LIGHT

Does the GM spoiler screw up replacing that light? Does the spoiler have to come off?

No- the bezel assembly slides out with the brake light attached. You then put the new brake light on the bezel and slide it back in under the spoiler- no removing of the spoiler necessary.

We like to keep one CHMSL in stock since they tend to break from time to time, but the one we ordered on February 1st still hasn't arrived. They're on national backorder, probably due whatever supplier makes them holding up the order.
