I'm hoping someone can help me on this issue. About a month ago my car had experienced an issue where i suddenly lost power after braking on the highway. I pushed the accelerator down but if i pushed it any further than approx 1in the car would stop accellerating even though the engine revved. Got to school, then left way later in the day and experienced no problems.
Was driving yesterday and the issue returned, though i parked at a grocery store and did a bit of shopping, got back in the car and everything is fine. Has been fine since. I've got a check engine light that comes on whenever the car hits 60mph but i don't know if that's related, partly because it's been doing that for many a year now. I ran the diagnostics and pulled the codes form the computer. I got: E039. I understand teh E039 has to do with the TCC/VCC and that some have said that you can drive forever with that code and not experience problems. Any ideas.. it's kinda wierd because of the large time span between incidents.
Transmission fluid is red and proper levels, recently had the transmission fluid changed by dropping the pan.
