So far all I get is the runaround. I made an appointment with the dealer about six-weeks ago to get the work done. I called the day before the appointment to find out if they had the kit in stock for both ends of the AWD car. After a big delay I'm told they have no parts and they can't get any. In fact, they say they haven't done the recall on any cars yet. I tell them that both ends of my car are dropping gear oil on the floor of my garage and it makes no difference to them. I guess I'm suppose to drive the car until one end or the other seizes up. Is there any benefit to calling Cadillac customer service or will this just piss everybody off to no effect.

I would call them... Recall or no recall if its leaking it needs to be repaired under warranty. Cadillac Customer Care should have a phone response within 24 hours.

quite frankly we probably would never be able to leak out enough fluid to seize anything up, but this is bullsh&t.
"no problem sir...i'll take that sts right over there on the lot, while we wait for the parts to come in..."

It's only a thousand mile round trip to the Caddy dealer in Soldotna so I might take it down there and see what they can do for me.

only a thousand miles... Having been to Alaska on vacation a few times I could see that, but wow! I'd be pretty pissed if they couldn't do the work and I drove all that way...

It's a beautiful trip and maybe I could get in some fishing.
