Called my dealer, they told me the car is in production and will be getting the VIN number next week. I asked if we can hold the order until BlueTooth starts getting installed on April 7th.

They told me that BT isn't coming out unitl 2009 :thepan:

Do any of the dealer guys know the inner workings of the order process?

I was just at my dealer two days ago. To give you some background,
my vehicle has been on order for 4 weeks now, was due to arrive 3/19
and thus far has not.

I spoke to the sales manager about waiting for a bluetooth vehicle.

He told me that he can't even order a BT vehicle right now as they aren't
even in the system yet. Furthermore, he said it would probably take at
least 8 weeks (2 months) for the first BT vehicle to roll into his lot.

Now he may be giving me a lot of BS to make sure I take the vehicle
I ordered (not that he couldn't sell it), but I am naive enough to think
he was being honest as I assured him he had me as a customer.

So unless another one of the Cadillac dealers that frequent this forum
gives you another story, I would say that if you don't want to wait two
more months (I did not want to) then take your original order and wait
for one of the wonderful lockpick kits and aftermarket BT devices that
are going to be arriving over the next few weeks. Some of them look
like they will be better than what GM will be installing.

Check out the recent discussions on the navigation lockpick threads
and you'll realize that those of us getting or have cars without BT
aren't necessarily worried about it anymore.
