View Full Version : Strut/Asanti/E&G/Trex/Vogue Grille... which is best for the $$ mattroberts123 03-18-08, 11:55 PM I know the strut is the best.... but sometimes you can actually get great quality for much less.
I REALLY like the Strut grille that has the 3 areas... BUT I HATE THE STRUT emblem in the center. I basically want the grille, but with the cadillac symbol in the middle.
Vogue has a great looking one that looks identical to the strut but with the cadillac symbol on their website... anyone have any personal experience with this grille, or recommend any others?
So far I have not spared any expense on my car, so I don't mind paying for the good quality, but I would much rather spend 1000 if it can look just as good as 4000
Thanks in advance for any advice Strut is the best grill I have ever seen in person, E&G's are nice, but as you said I really do not like their logo either. Synergetic 03-20-08, 03:53 AM If you're going to spend the money, then Strut, no question! You really have to see the product in person to believe it. rblimas 03-20-08, 04:05 AM If you're going to spend the money, then Strut, no question! i have seen strut, asanti, E&G, and t-rex in person. to me it all looks like the same shit from the same toilet but with a different logo on it. boss513 03-20-08, 11:51 PM you have the asanti wheels, get the asanti grill they come with more parts than the strut anyway Synergetic 03-21-08, 05:00 AM i have seen strut, asanti, E&G, and t-rex in person. to me it all looks like the same shit from the same toilet but with a different logo on it.
I'm sure it looks like that to most except those with an eye for quality. No offense, but I'm not a fan of mesh grilles on anything except SUV's (Escalade, Range Rover, etc), but Strut has its distinctive differences that sets itself apart from the other brands, in terms of grade/quality, which can clearly be seen in person. I still think they're all slightly overpriced, including Strut. yourgmsolutions 03-21-08, 07:25 PM T Rex and Strut buying mesh from the same supplyer in LA area.
the only difference is, design and Strut sends their mesh for chrome vs TRex and E&G doesn't, they just polish them. but the ones TRex make for Asanti, they send them for chroming.
my reply to post #1 : check out "Foose grill" cheaper then Asanty and Strut, good design, very good quality made. I've seen them in person and I liked it Synergetic 03-21-08, 08:42 PM T Rex and Strut buying mesh from the same supplyer in LA area.

The design, fitment, craftsmanship and quality exceed all other brands, which is the reason they have the ability to charge ridiculous prices and get away with it. Its like comparing HRE to Asanti, we all know HRE makes a far better wheel in every aspect, also the reason they're the most expensive. Just my 2 cents.

300s lol i chit on those SWRidin 04-24-08, 11:25 AM The mesh grille looks great on the CTS. Full mesh with the caddy crest in the middle. I'm thinking it will look good on my 07 Escalade too. Everyone likes something a little different. :) 08blackextcalifornia 06-06-08, 09:45 PM I just picked up my 08 black ext and put the asanti grille on in it the next day. I went with the black/chrome asanti grille. On my black ext I think it looks the best. If I would of got any other color ext I would of put the all chrome grille on it. I personally like the asanti grille better then the strut. It also helps that i distribute there grilles so I got a killer price on the set for my truck. The grilles are expensive but you can tell the difference between these grilles and other cheap ones out there. At least I think so. Other comparable grilles that I like are the giovanna and the mht. The E&G has 1 nice style I like for the 07+ escalades which is pretty hot. The others they carry I am not too fond of. Now just waiting on asanti to build me some 26 inch too toned af154. I will post some pics of them on my truck once they get in. Let me know what you think!

http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n194/bayarearimsandtires/AF154-front1.jpg patrykkoul 06-10-08, 04:38 AM I have a friend that has the Giovanni Grille on his Escalade, and another friend that has the Strut on his. The Giovanni Grill is super sick, just a differnt mesh pattern. The Giovanni one is not like woven mesh, it's solid. I don't think either off them look any cheaper or worse. Most the grilles are all just stainless steel woven mesh. I have a friend that has a grille on his m3 from race mesh grilles, and it all looks like the same material. The mark up on them is just crazy, you're paying for the name. It's just like jewlery, the materials are cheap and the mark up is crazy, but you pay for the name and the craftmanship. I'm sure the Strut Grille is put together with a lil' more quality than most if it's $6,000. But who knows? I've seen some super sick mesh grilles for 1/8th of the price of Struts. And if you just like the look, and don't care about the name then who cares. I'm going to get this one for my denali in black. The style is differnet than most luxury ones. It seems strut, asanti, etc. like to do special frame work and emblems, but personally I just like the woven mesh look clean with nothing. For upper and lower grille this one is only $500, dunno if they have one for the escalade.
http://www.racemeshgrilles.com/images/RaceMesh%20GMC%20Yukon%20Denali%20in%20EPSS%20f%20 (Medium).jpg The strut is an amazing grille, but i decided jsut to go with the vogue one with the caddy symbol in the middle and it looks sick, and pretty much identical to the strut grille, u jsut dont get the nice side vents that strut has, ill put up pics of my 08 ext with the vogue grille if u want to see what it looks like, and i payed 2,000 nintead of 6,000, idc bout spending money on my truck because i prefer spending and looking much nicer but it looks ****ing perfect with the vogue grille How much it cost for STRUT front and side grills? boss513 06-16-08, 01:24 AM How much it cost for STRUT front and side grills?
$6000 retail, $3700 whole sale, $2500 on ebay lol Paul@Z1Motoring 08-07-08, 08:34 PM Strut vs. Asanti
Asanti chamfers the edges of their grilles for a smoother, cleaner look.
Vs, Strut laser cuts their grilles out and thats that. The material used by Asanti it a bit thicker and more structurally rigid. The look in general is much nicer on the asanti kit. And if it matters to you, the Strut kit is manufactered in Mexico, vs the Asanti Kit in Southern Cali. The Asanti kit retails for $3900, and Strut is pretty secretive about their pricing but I assure you it would most likely be somewhere upwards of $5000.
that aside, if you are looking for a lower cost option, TREX is your best choice. 08blackextcalifornia 08-20-08, 03:54 PM Ok here's a pic of my truck with the rims on it. 08 EXT Black With 26 Inch Too Toned Asanti rims & Black Asanti Grille. What do you think? Any questions comments are welcome!
