On my center console the small accessory door that houses the 12v oulet catches when I push it to open. It opens halfway the stops and I have to pull it up to open. I can fell it catching on something. It should open completely shouldn't it? Or is it designed that way? I haven't had time to stop at the dealer and check another one.
Here's a pic of what one I mean:

Yep, it should open all the way.

Mine opens all the way smooth as silk with one push. This compartment is just right for holding my Bluetooth headset, and I typically close it up when I leave the car, and open it when I get back in to turn on the headset. Now, if there were just a good place to put my sunglasses!

My sunglasses fit fine in the top compartment of the centre console.

Your accessory door is broken and should be taken to the dealer to get fixed. It is very likely they will have to order the part and you'll need to take the car back in once they've ordered it. I had the same thing happen with my cupholder door.
Ah nuts. I thought so. Another quality control issue. My third so far.
