I wanted a cat back system for my 05 STS V8, I almost got just the Corsa mufflers last year, but I wanted a cat back. Then this morning on Borla's web site, I see it for under 600. Best I could find on the web was 1200. I ordered it ,

This seems like the deal I was looking for ! Or is it too good to be true ?

Got the STS4 also and I am planning on doing exhaust eventually here. Do you know if the Corsa one will fit? On Corsa's website it only says V8 only, nothing about AWD.

Borla's website show 2 different models... One w/AWD (Not Available) and the other RWD which is available. My guess is the under carriage is different with AWD so it would need a different system.. Guess just something else I loose out on.

I just went to the cora web site and I do not see anything for full cat back system, just the 2 rear cans. The gibson is for everything. That I could see not fitting the AWD.

Can't say what they are doing now but I unpacked the boxes myself and laid them out with the installers...

So Cat back means the entire pipeing? Will that improve performance, I really like whiat I've seen about the Corsa STS system though. The pic on the site shows some piping on it, but that doesn't go all the way? Says no welding? (not that I plan on doing this myself)

Yup. just cans for the Corsa. Check out the install documentation, shows you where to cut. Now check out the borla, no cutting. All the pipes from the cat back. Noticed that they have it on the "BLOWOUT" sale now. FED-EX tracker shows a Sat. delivery . I know what I am doing this weekend. Ok, after I replace the plastic gear in my garage door opener.. I will give a review when it is done.

I can't find anything on Bolras site now for the STS, when I do the search it says they don't currently offer anything. I also searched with the part number in the first post.

DAMN! I'm such an ass.. had it in the shopping cart this morning and got sidetracked with other stuff. I had a feeling that this was gonna happen.


BTW.. called Borla.. It's done, was discontinued and those were the last of them. I'm gonna go punch myself in the face now. :crying:

:thumbsup: For those that got in on the deal it was a sweet deal and it was something you could not think too long about at that price. If it would have fit my AWD I would have ordered it 2 days ago...

I just found out about it, I woulda looked at the site rite when I first saw the post if u said it didnt work for AWD. What made me look was two days later wondering why awd didnt drop as well. Well I was origionally planning corsa, any thought on performance comparison to borla? Still gonna pay about $900 though dammit, coulda spent half as much except for that sts4 thing. I actually liked the sound at least on utube videos of the corsa the best compared to borla and some other thing, just wondering performance numbers.

It's in. Easy install. Nice looking, good fitting kit and hey, I got a hat .. As for sound... It sounds like a corvette now. A bit loud going slow like around 30 MPH and under 2K. At 40MPH it is only slightly louder than stock. I have only had a few miles of driving it, but stomp on it from a stop and go thru the gears... All I can say is wow ! Nice roar. It seems like it coast a bit better. I will not know about MPG until next week. I think I might add some kind of dynamat or sound insulation in the trunk. The old system came out in 1 piece and it only takes about an hour to swap back and forth.

Just got my Borla Cat-Back exhaust today... very easy installation, nice quality pipes and clamps. sounds great! its not as loud as i feared it might be, which is a good thing. it has a nice mellow roar when just cruising along...no drone or resonation....but when ya step on it you know its there! the biggest improvement as far as looks are the polished exhaust tips, they fill up the cutouts on the bumper perfectly ! overall im quite pleased with it....
