I am interested in buying a used SRX and am considering 2006 and up. I have a few audio/NAV related questions. If you can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

1) Do ANY of the 2006 audio systems(cd only or NAV unit) play mp3s burned on cds?

2) Does the NAV unit in 2006 play DVD-audio and/or mp3s burned on DVDs?

3) Same questions as above but for the 2007-08?

4) Do any of the 2006 units have aux inputs for mp3 players?

5) Do the 2007 or 08's have aux input for mp3 players?

I can answer questions 2) and 5):

2) On the 2008 with NAV you can play mp3s burned on CDs. Not sure about DVDs.
5) On the 2008 with NAV there is a aux input for mp3 players.

Below is a copy from the 2008 SRX Navigation Manual, page 3-17:

DVD Player
The player can be used for CD, MP3, DVD audio, and
as a DVD video player etc., etc....................

The DVD slot is compatible with most audio CDs,
CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, DVD-R/RW,
DVD+R/RW media along with MP3 and un-protected
WMA formats.

Thanks Ed, that does help. I have done more research and am pretty sure that the DVD Nav option on '07-08 would definitely play all formats of music audio on both DVD and CD as my wife's '08 Enclave with NAV system. And I have confirmed that both non-NAV and Nav systems on '07-08's do have an aux input for mp3 players. However, I am still in the dark about the '06s, so any help would be appreciated. Also, do you have to have the DVD entertainment option to be able to play audio DVDs in the NAV/audio unit on the 07's?
