abs lights came on yesterday on the way to the store. On the way home the engine died and all Mom got was a clicking sound when she tried to restart it. Today I went out and it started but didn't sound like it was going to and so I watched the voltage. It started at 11 (which I know is weak) but it continued to fall down to 9 volts and I just shut it off and then it tried to pull codes but there wasn't enough juice left. I would normally think this was the alternator (that doesn't look fun the change) or possibly the battery. I know I can go the Autozone to see, but I am afraid it will leave me stranded. Is there a way I can check this at home? And if it is one of these, would it cause the traction, stability, abs problem?
Thanks!

You can take out the battery and have it load tested at any store to see what's going on with it. Low volts can cause havoc with the electrical system, and could be giving you false codes. If the codes don;t go away after you change the battery, it is probably a wheel speed sensor. They send info to the abs/traction control systems, each wheel has one, and it is intergrated into the hub.
