I have a 94 sts that burns oil and sends out billows of smoke only after it has been driven on e way and then sits for awhile.
It has 115miles, it was running extemely rough and I replaced plugs which were black and fouled and now it runs great but billows smoke.
I checked compression and its good on all 8.
So what is problem? Rings or seals...etc.. does this mean removal of engine to fix? Can I add something to gas or oil to prevent buidup on plugs?
dad
Is the smoke black or blueish? Have you don any WOT treatments lately?
"after it sits awhile" sounds like valve seals, but I think they are usually pretty good and it is unusual for them to fail

Read the thread about "a river runs through it" or something like that.

I have the rear main seal installer for the new style seal and here is what I paid. Honestly - it was only $262.94 - not sure if it is worth it to me or to you for you to rent. I mean, I have to ship it to you, hope that you will return it, and in good condition ( I don't know you...), you have to pay to ship it to me - know what I mean? Wouldn't you be better off buying one to own?
