Cadillac has announced a special repackaging of options on all 2008 SRXs that gives you more equipment for less money.

V6 Models with the Luxury Collection (PDT) will now include the Utility Package (Y41) which includes Power 3rd Row Seating, Rear Air controls and Trailering provisions (heavy duty coolers on Transmission and Power Steering) at no extra charge ($1,125 savings).

V6 Models with the Premium Luxury Collection (PDV) will now include the Utility Package AND the 18" Wheel Sport Package (R1X) which includes: Door sill plates, Sport Grill and Chrome Exhaust tips, Sport front and rear Fascias, Chrome roof rails and 18" wheels at no charge ($2,530 savings) .

V8 models get similar upgrades- Ultra Luxury (PDW) models get Utility Package and 18" sport, while AWD V8s get the 20" Sport Package ($3,400 savings).

I hate to be negative, but it sounds like Caddy is getting rid of excess OEM add-ons to clear inventory in preparation to discontinue the SRX. AND, of course, boost sales.

Thats exactly what the Caddy guy told me they were gonna do on the 2009 SRX's. He said most 2009's will be loaded with goodies, he wasn't clear on whether or not they'd be cheaper though, but I assume they would to keep sales up.
