Last November I purchased a chrome tube cold intake kit with a K&N air filter. I was so excited because on my Lincoln Mark 8 the same kind of intake in addition with the raven mufflers (i put same kind on my eldo) made the car louder and quicker. It was a HP gain i could feel. Anyway I took the stock airbox out and put the chrome intake in. I sold the stock air box on ebay right away. It did not take long to realize that I had actually lost power and I was stuck with it.

SO I DECIDED TO IMPROVISE..

I took measurements and decided to build a cold air box. I took inspiration from the police interceptor air box. So I went to the hardware store and got aluminum insulation bubble wrap and several orca oven mitts (same material used in space ship technology for absorbing heat). Anyway I made the box and i made it much bigger then the stock box was and the tube fits great, and it keeps the air very cold. When I start the car I can hear the intake sucking from inside the car and outside It is really doing a good job and my power is back and not just at WOT. I took some pictures.

That happened to me when I put an intake on my olds, it was loud for a couple minutes. There's a reason they do that, I forget exactly why, I think its a valve or sensor somewhere.

thats cool.
How did you get the intake to suck like that without using any vacuum except the throttle body vacuum?
When you want to be inovative you can do it.
Dude, if you think you have a good product, start making and selling them, i'll buy one.

To put youtube vids in your post you just have to put the last part of the link in the youtube code.

Your link is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7aqE2WWzlUc (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7aqE2WWzlUc)

So you would put 7aqE2WWzlUc (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7aqE2WWzlUc) [slash YOUTUBE]
