Hi, I'm trying to reprogram my remotes for my 94 Eldorado, I posted the question on Yahoo Answers and got this response:
try reprogramming remote.
First, open the trunk. pull the carpet liner away from the area around the trunk pull down. (The latch part on the back wall of the trunk). Look at the wiring that's in sight now. You may have to carefully unwrap some tape, but you're looking for the female half of a plug socket that's not connected to anything. It should have a black wire attached to it. That's your ground wire. You're going to need a wire with a clip on each end, or even one of those test lights that has a clip on one end, and the point on the other.
Now that you found your wire, turn the ignition to on but don't start the car. Attach one end of your jumper wire to the contact inside that plug in the trunk, and the other end to a good ground source. Look for something metal you can reach that isn't painted. As soon as it makes contact, you should hear the door locks clunk. Press the un-lock button on the remote, count 1 mississippi, press it again. Unplug your jumper wire, and turn off the ignition. Try your remote, and hopefully everything works great. If not, do it all again but try pushing the un-lock 4 times instead of 2. If that still doesn't work try a different ground for your jumper.
have to perform procedure with both remotes or it wont work. if you only have one remote you have to do it twice with the same remote.
The only problem is I can't find the wire, I got a pic.. Please Help... If there is an easier way please share..
