I am wanting to buy a new radiator for my 98 STS. They want to know does it have an oil cooler or not. I looked, but not knowing what to look for, I can't tell. Not alot of room to look anyway. Anybody know??
Thanks

Bill

Oil cooler was optional for '98 and later models. Look for plumbing connections from the oil filter adapter to the radiator.

Chances are good you will not find any plumbing therefore you do not have the optional oil cooler radiator.

Yep ^^^. Two oil lines running from the front of the filter adapter to the passenger side radiator tank.

OK, mine has 2 plugs on the adapter so I guess no oil cooler.
The dealer will pick it up in the AM to do the headgaskets. They do about 3-5 per month and only had one, that they know of, fail. But it was done 6 years and 70,000 miles ago. Works for me. They had not heard of the "Norms" inserts. I took them all the info and he said it was a good looking product and would install it if I wanted. BUT he would not warranty it. So after thinking it over, I told them to install the Timeserts so I would at least have a 12/12 warranty. We are going to Wisconsin and Michigan this summer and I would at least feel better.
