Just wanted to let everybody know that my N* is finally running and sounding the way that I want it.

I bought my 05 STS V8 last summer and even my 12 year old daughter said that the motor sounded like a diesel. Motor only had 25K on it, but I could tell that the lady before me must have lugged the motor and gone very easy on it.

I tried the top end cleaners and the WOT procedure to clear the Cold Rap, but I just did not like the sound of the valve train util I put 2 applications of a cleaner that goes in the oil and helps clean the ring pack. It now sounds and feels much better, and it might be a bit early to tell, but I think I might have gotten a mpg or 2 better on my last few 2.5 hour commutes. AutoRX. Not trying to sell anything here.. I am just happy now. I was getting ready to get rid of the car. It bugged me that much. Just sharing what worked for me.

Yeah. with only 25K it just sounded loud. I thought it just needed a good clean out.
I wiped the throttle body down the best I could, but the rings on this engine just seem coke up if not exercised. But I might have jinxed myself, I was sitting in the cell phone lot of the airport last night and my wife's flight was late. So I was sitting for about 25mins. Low and behold, a yellow solid engine light on the dash. GOD I hate going to the dealer. I might try a new Caddy dealer in Hartford CT. next week to check the code.. That is unless I can get it from the Diag screen and figure out what it is. I think it was just a missfire as I felt a 1 stumble.
