Has anyone added an aftermarket spoiler to their STS? I have an 05' and would like to make the addition. Just looking for a ballpark price and any installation tips you might have. Also, where is the best place to buy one of these?

I saw these pics on a previous post and was thinking of a spoiler something like this.

That's actually mine lol. I got that through my father at the dealership, it came to $500 all together after painting and installing and was a pain in the neck to get the V Spoiler (getting the vin, telling GM what spoiler it is because there retarts when it comes to ordering custom parts)

Hope that helps!

I have a factory Standard Spoiler pained Raven Black that I am going to be looking to sell so PM me and make an offer if any of you are interested. The one issue is if your STS doesnt currently have a spoiler, you will prob have to drill holes on the trunklid since the spoiler has about 6 screws to be bolted. You could however shave them off and use 3m tape completely instead.

What year is your STS? Will the V spoiler fit any STS? Would you happen to have any of the info you provided the dealership for ordering? :hmm:

Thanks.

Hey I just picked up a spoiler which I had expected to drill and bolt on but they sent it with the 3M strips already on it and no hardware. Is that stuff reliable with the amount of wind and force being put on it? I would hate to put it through a persons windshield behind me like that dude that gets hit by the surf board in Lethal Weapon. Thanks

I never used bolts when I switched to the aftermarket spoiler, just 3m. I taped all along the borders and accross the center some. Just make sure the trunk surface s cleaned first.
