BOSS amps are awesome and they are cheap as hell too. I got a BLX3500M, its 2000 watts RMS mono and i got it for 170. It comes with the remote level and frequency adjuster.

Yep this ticks all the right boxes,

May I ask where you got that great price of $170.00 from?

awesome and cheap dont belong in the same sentence when talking about amps. but i doubt the infinity kappas' are gonna be sure picky about some unclarity. i know my w3's didnt like the sony 760, so much so it popped them.

it's not the brand of the amp, its how much you put the subs through, any sub can blow if you give it more than they can handle. maybe for people who are used to being ripped off and don't even know it, cheap and awesome don't belong together.

yes and no. its also the sound quality the amp puts out, that amp did not put out a clean signal and sent alot of funk to the speakers, and JL's are made for good clean signals to put out the best sound. After i had them rebuilt, i bought a RF BD1000 which was putting out 1036 watts at 12 volts, my charging system was putting out 13.6V minimum. When we bench tested it at 13.6V it was showing 1341w. They were wired at 1.6ohms nominal, so they were getting about 900-1000 watts a piece, and at the most with the Sony at MOST 350. They loved the RF for almost 3 years, until they got stolen :(. A amplifier carries the same motto as John Lingenfelter said about engines, "a engine can only perform as good as the heads let them no matter what kind of upgrades you do." with stereo's its the same, a speaker will only perform as good as the amplifier will let it, and when the amp is sending a shitty signal to a quality speaker, its gonna mess it up. So if you have high end speakers you need a high end amp.
and cheaper amps are overrated, that amp says 2000RMS, i would be surprised if you get 600w @ 15V. and most high end amps are underrated, like my friends 40001BD, its max output is said to be 4000w @1ohm @12v, the birth sheets on it showed 4651w@12v @1.5ohm.
