We just got 2 2005 CTS's in today. These cars have the luxury package. The Onstar and XM antennas are integrated into one unit. Also, the seat inserts are perforated leather. The wood kit does not include the center stack. It is the shifter, steering wheel, and door pulls. Cluster has been updated also. New style wheels also. Very nice.

Is the grill still *not* body color? I want to go body color on my original stock grill, but have put it off because I heard a REALLY small rumor that the 05 would be body color, so I am waiting to swap my V-grill into an 05 Platinum (for free :shhh: )...

I also wish the clusters were "serviceable" items are orderable through parts, as I have heard they are much nicer...

If you bought/buy a Silver Smoke the grill color almost exactly matches the body color!! :D

My 03 has perforated inserts too. The CTS has always had them.

The grey grill remaining is a disappointment though... I would have thought GM would have fixed that seeing as they have changed just about all the other old complaints (i.e. rear bezel).

I like the new integrated xm/on star/gps antenna. That seems like a big improvement. The wheels don't seem to be any big change..I actually still prefer the mirror polished ones that came with the 04 lux/sport package.

:hmm: I assume the actual antenna mast is not installed. Would be about 6" long? I like the integrated concept. Thanks for the update.:bonkers:

Yes they are the 16"s. I personally prefer my 16"s over that.

I believe only the 16" wheels are changed for 05. I think the 17 painted and polished wheels are retained.

What exactely was changed about the cluster? The picture from the outside has a mean glare on the window.

it looks like they have a silver lining around the gauges, kinda like the V. maybe its the V cluster...

The wheels are the 16's. These 2 cars are the 1SB package, not the 1SC. The cluster now has chrome rings around the gauges, gives a V-type effect. The antenna mast is not installed, the blue plug is still on it because the cars have not had the predelivery inspection done. They were dirty and in the same state as when they were unloaded from the carrier truck. I took the photos on my way home yesterday, and I was too lazy to haul the keys back in. The antenna mast looks like a blade, and is the same as the one on later production SRX vehicles.

The last pic in your album shows a car with a stick shift. Is this the 3.6L/6-speed combo? If so, that pretty much proves they are being made, day 1. And I am officially jealous of those who get one!

However, to PROVE it, one of my Sales Managers drove the 6 speed CTS at XLR training. It exists.

Great... July. I need a car now. I have been waiting too long as it is. Last word before this was they were starting the 6 speed a few weeks later.

When I call the comptroller, I am asking for him to get quotes on the Acura, Infinite and CTS with estimated ship dates from the leasing company.

The cars do not arrive at the dealerships that day after they are built (well, if you are close to plant, they do) Last we heard it was mid May for autos and mid June for 6 speed build. June build = July delivery. Call a Michigan dealership, you may be able to get one end of June.

If I remember correctly, you were looking for a 1SB. There are only 3 accepted by production control for a 300 mile radius around Dayton, Ohio. A black, a platinum, and a blue one. The black and platinum both have sunroof and XM with luxury pkg(will give you wood trim, heated seats,etc.), the blue one is a base model with no options. Depending on the leasing company, sometimes they do purchase dealer stock vehicles, if the time window is short.

The stick photos are of the first V-series. The album is a conglomeration of vehicles we have gotten that I like. Our black six speed is currently slotted for the third week of June, if memory serves correctly. I am at home, so I can't check again until tomorrow.
