I took the burns-o-matic to mine and pulled it off. Put a C5 shifter on which is 2" shorter and only cost $20. If you have it out might as well replace the soft bushings with poly and firmer rubber from home depot and auto parts.

This does not change the fulcrum but is allot more precise and feels like my buddies 911 TT stock shifter.

Joebump for details. my goal was TPiS, then get the end threaded for a ball. but c5 stuff could be a cheaper plan
