Does anyone else have this issue? Notice it when driving with arm on center console.

It is either a little loose, or the rubber gromits it sits on need a little lube, that will fix that. :)

I've got the same problem. Annoying as heck! Where can I find the rubber gromets you mention? Do I need to tear the consoler apart or ?

center console is a piece of JUNK...noticed this when the escalade got introduced at the LA autoshow 2 years ago....but believe me there will be a lot more lose part after driving it for a couple of years.....have you ever felt the rear bumper???

Yea - I guess I should have seen the signs. While test driving the dealer demo for a couple of days, the entire top cover of the center console came completely apart. The dealer told me it had been 'abused'. I bought a new one anyway. My wife still gives me a hard time for that!

What I did was add a couple of 3M Bumpons (to the underside) that are about 5/16" thick about mid way back. You have to get the thickness pretty close or it is more difficult to latch.
It doesn't stop all the motion, but it's much better.

Hey,

I have the same squeaking console problem, 2006 CTS. It's driving me nuts!!!! I will try it soon. This squeaking make this "luxury" vehicle seem cheap.

I found this in another post. This guy seems to have figured it out. It involves dissembling the console, friction tape, and he added a wood block wrapped in tape to the console to restrict movement.

http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/2008-cadillac-cts-general-discussion/192880-how-fix-center-console-sunroof-creak.html

If anyone does this suggested solution or finds another solution please let me know and post pics for the forum!

Good luck!

Your wife sounds just like mine. BTW same issue as far as the center console being squeaky I just don't lean on it. Which is an inconvenience.
