You made a statement. What's the question?

Do you have to drop the transmission to change the rear main seal and oil pan gasket? or what do I have to do?

how long do you think it takes to do?

You'll have to drop the entire drive train. Not sure how long it takes as I have never had to do it, but it is pretty involved. Someone who has done it will chime in. If it is not leaking badly, I'd live with it.

Also I have another question,

Where is the camshaft sensor located? on 94 cadillac sts

I wouldn't swear to it, but I think it is on the rear (drivers side) of the right bank (rear) head.

There is one bolt that holds it on - it's tight quarters in there, but I don't think you have to remove anything else. There is no gasket - an o-ring seals against oil leaks
