I just put 24's on my 03 escalade:cool:. Now it looks like it has been lifted:annoyed: I have read the alot of the previous post and noticed that most people drop their rig 2"front/3"rear. I dont know if this is enough??? Does anyone have pics they can post if they lowered their escalade more than this.

Also...if you put lowering spindles in the front and it is not low enough, can you still tighten the torsion bars a bit??

I did the 2"/3" drop with front spindles. Cant go wrong, because it rides very good!

I can recommend you a place in Beaverton to go do the install if you'd like. Thats where I got BOTH of my trucks done at!

I personally like the 2/3 drop. My 24s will be mounted this weekend. Im going to keep it stock height though. I prefer that look. I lowered my Lexus RX330 and didnt like it much afterwards, so I sold it.

DLE, please forgive me as I cannot send you a private message (something about me not having 30 posts or something like that). I have an 03 Escalade with spindles and rear springs (sits as low as yours). It rides like crap, and every where I take it to, they just want to blame it on the wheels and tires (22" momo wheels). You mentioned your ride was nice. I would really like to know how you did this and what I am doing wrong. I know it should handle better then what it does, I just need to get there. arrrg

I would also like to know what drop kit is on the picture DLE posted. Anyone have more info?

What kit did you use? On my black truck, I used the McGaughys front spindles and Ground Forces rear springs. It all depends on where you live too I guess. I live in the NW where its a lot of flat roads. But the ride is still very comfortable. How does yours ride like crap? Is it too stiff? or too soft?

Which pic are you referring to?

If I can remember correctly, the kit is called BNS Lowering Springs or something like that.

I have the McGaughys front spindles, when I put them on I also replaced every rubber bushing there was (you almost have too). The front end is aligned and i am not sure what name brand the rear springs are (the springs came with the truck and I added the spindles). I live in AZ and the roads are not terrible and I apologize as crappy is probably a relative term and does not describe much. I have lowered cars (never awd trucks) and the handling and steering response has always been much better. My back end bounces and it just is not as aggressive as I think it could be. If I lift my back end up the rear springs almost fall out (I am assuming this is normal because of their size). I wish I knew somewhere I could take it (in AZ) that could help me. I am tired of dealing with lowrider shops who want to sell me gold daytons. Anyone have a lowered Escalade in AZ?

I know this is late but what the heck.I have a 2004 escalade esv and just did the belltech kit on mine,2-3 drop problem is out back rides like a pile of crap, upon looking further into it I noticed it is also in contact with the rear bump stop which it isn't suppose to be,so either i get a trail arm relocation bracket or try a spacer in the coil to get it off the bump stop, have a peek you might find the same

I need some answers if anyone can help? I am going to order 24" wheels and the tires' size is 305/35/24. Moreover, I am thinking to lower my 2007 Escalade to 2/3 drop. Will be there any rubbing ?

Does your air ride work too? My truck is lowered but just the other day when I attached my trailer I realized my air ride is not working. No one wants to touch it because of the rods in the back that are bent (the ones that sense the height of the rear end). I tried to explain to the shop they are suppose to be like that with the mcgaughy kit and the guy looked at me all confused. It's been pain a pain to find a shop that can fix it so my air ride will work and keep the truck lowered.

I was rolling 3/4 drop and was till able to pull a trailer no problem.. It was a Mghraphys (sp?) kit with spindles and rear coil and stock air shocks...

I have now taken off the drop and am rolling 24's with a 295-35-24 but I don't like the height I am either going back down to 3/5 or bags.....

From what I read on the McGaughy's site, only 2wd can be dropped lower than 2/3. I am pretty sure they have reasons not to offer a lower kit for the AWD or 4wd.

YA AWD can't go lower than 2/3 b.c of the front CV driveshaft angles.. I guess an inch makes a big differance..
