Does anyone know for sure if you can remove the the 22in. wheels on an '08 EXT and replace with 18in. wheels without having any problems like incorrect speedo. readings, or any rubbing problems on tires when turning, etc. ?

You will be fine - speedo will be fine too - overall diameters are the same with tires.

If you want to get really technical, the dealer has a different software program for 18" vs. 22" wheels. When I added 22" wheels to my '07 EXT that came with 18's, the dealer changed the software to accomodate for this.

From the stock 22's to the stock 18's there is a difference of .53" (1/2") the 22's being larger, switching to the stock size 18's will cause your speedo to read 61 mph when you are going 60 mph, as said you can have the dealer reset your computer, also a hand held programmer like the Preditor lets you do this too, there is no need to have anything do because of the small difference, less than 2%. :)

Again, my vehicle came with 18's but I later switched to 22's. Navigating tight turns at say 10mph, the TCS light would flicker. Vehicle now programmed for 22's and TCS does not do that anymore.

Dealer may have fixed another problem causing that to happen, my neighbor's truck came with 18's, and I got him a set of stock 22's, I put them on his truck this weekend and been driving his truck since then with no issues, both mine were clean. ;)
