Lets cut to the chase....

I am PISSED...

I put my car in the shop yesterday. We removed exhaust, driveshaft, and the transmission. Then the pressure plate, clutch plate and finally the flywheel...No problems here...

We properly installed the LS7 clutch assembly and i directed my attention to the clutch slave. We tried installin the spacer behind the original slave, BUT the bell housing wouldnt couple properly without us cuttin the bell housing excessively. I also bought a slave for a corvette which is 20+mm longer then original so i chucked the slave and spacer...

HAS ANYONE ELSE RUN INTO THIS PROBLEM??????

My second adventure was installin the GMP swaybars...The end links just didnt look right installin which ever way...

Lets add to the whole equation that GM lost my wheel lock key. I tried to remove it manually wth a chisel and hammer, but all i have to show for it is Fustration, a half broken lock, and one damaged rim where the lock is located.

The fact i am +8 hours from eastern time really gets to me, for when i need assistance i have to wait till the end of my day before i may or may not get the help i need. Then if i need parts i am totally screwed...I have to wait a whole week and a bit before i see the needed parts...

LIFE IS SO UNFAIR

You know the worse part...

I went through this forum lookin up all the info and details and everything...

I have to admit sometimes there is enough feedback that we as the readers get the full details, but when approached by this there isnt any, hell i was preachin use a spacer, which is right, but you have to SLOWLY bend the lines to fit the exsistin holes and cut out a little of the bellhousing for the bleeder to fit through...

As a matter of fact, we need to talk with the big guy and insist that if anyone does a mod they follow through and give us his full story. This has to be the rule and inforced...

Look up the forum history...You will not find a followup to the installation of a LS7 or non oem clutch of similar specs...You will find for Basis bolt ons, but none for this, nor the GMP swaybars...

its a No go on the swaybars, checked it all out and couldnt find anything about the swaybars...But alas we are still lackin that crutial info on the clutch...

FINISH i will post it when i am done i am writin one up for all to follow if they would like to...

FYI if you use the stock slave you will need a spacer...But you also have to cut off part of your bell housing...

Since I didn't install a bleeder I wouldn't have the first idea what needs to be done- I was just pointing out that I've mentioned cutting the bellhousing 3 times, and that's just me.

Sometimes info is hard to find with the search, but most of it's somewhere on the forum if you look hard enough.
