I'll kick off the thread with a few that I took about 10 minutes ago. Next time, I'll use the tripod. The interior of this car is gorgeous by day, thoroughly stunning at night!

Not to sound negative but aren't all the CTS' going to look the same at night unless the lights are customized.

To a certain degree, sure. Depends on the skills and imagination of the photographer.

Too bad it's too late for me to change the title of the thread to "Night pics - all passionless, unimaginative, Caddy wranglers toss your wet blanket comments here!"

Jeebus. :halo:

Awesome pictures. Yes, one CTS may look like any other at night, but different photographers take different pictures from different angles or different vantages...so I enjoy them all!
:-)

Question for '08 (or earlier) owners: have you had a problem with the backlighting on buttons going out? I have another GM vehicle ('04, not a Cadillac) where some lights behind the steering wheels controls and elsewhere in the sterero/AC/heater controls have gone out and was quoted $250 or so by the dealership to fix. Thanks.

No, I have never had a problem with the IP backlighting. I have owned many GM vehicles for years, never a problem. Most recent - '04 CTS, '98 Corvette. Had the CTS for 4 years and the Corvette for 8 years. Current stable is the '08 CTS and an '06 Corvette.

I shouldn't have looked at these! I still have to wait another 6-7 weeks for mine, and your pictures just made me want it more! Great pics, thanks for posting them.

I don't think the original poster was trying to say that his lights looked unique compared to other CTSs on the road. Just that it looked damn awesome at night - which it does.

Below are two front-end shots of my CTS4. The fog lamp bulbs on the car are Hoen H11 55W superwhite 'Xenonmatch', which replaced the original Osram H11's.
This thread has me thinking now about a couple of other 'Night Moves' modifications I'd like to do. :bulb: (Thanks for the inspiration Crackerzot!). I have to do a bit of research . . . .

OK. Good to know. The picture above with the center stack all lit up with the backlighting looks amazing, which caused me to wonder about that.

Thanks!

Not to worry. You have 4 years bumper to bumper.

Nice pics! Thanks for adding to the thread... Here's another one I took of the center stack while listening to the Beatles Love DVD in 5.1. Nice demo material for that 10-speaker Bose!!!

Something about the gauges and in particular, the center stack - the shape of it - vaguely reminds me of another iconic GM creation - my father's old 1965 Buick Riviera, in a VERY GOOD way. I can't help but think that Harley Earl would have been very turned on and enthusiastic about the new CTS.

I purchased the superwhite 'xenonmatch' bulbs directly from Hoen (ordered them from their website).
In November '07 I posted a DIY instruction (with photos) detailing the change-out of the OEM foglamp bulbs to "superwhite" bulbs. Note the wattage of the superwhite replacement bulbs I utilized is the same as the OEM bulbs.. only the 'color temperature' of the bulbs has changed to provide a better match to the color of the xenon headlamps.
Bottom line.. the change is essentially cosmetic - no additional lumens will be gained by converting from the 55W OEM bulbs to the 55W 'xenonmatch' bulbs. But man, the fogs sure look great now! :cool2:
