She is perfect!!! Trijicon 02-24-08, 11:18 PM :) You are very welcome sir!... You deserve her bro! I am so glad you like her!... Have fun washing her tomorrow and remember the 2 bucket method and also when you are finished washing her take the nozzel off the hose and turn the water on about 1/4 turn and just let the water flow over the entire car from the top down, you will notice the water sheeting off of the car. This will make drying her much more easy and help her not to get water spots as well.
I am very happy for you man! You deserve that beauty! Crackerzot 02-25-08, 01:06 AM That is some excellent photography right there. What a BEAUTY!!! I don't envy you in all the work involved in keeping that paint clean, but as it's been said before, there is no paint color that looks worse when it's dirty or as beautiful when it's clean. The reflections off that finish are breathtaking. Those are some GREAT pictures. I've now had my car for two weeks so I'm less dependant on the pictures of others to get my CTS fix but those would have really helped during the waiting period. The car looks fantastic. Did it arrive on the truck sparkling clean? What camera did you use?
Maybe GM Photographic should hire you to make their cars look good instead fo the boring pics we get from them. RQFinMD 02-25-08, 11:08 AM Can I say: STUNNING???!!! :bulging:
Just gorgeous. :yup: Trijicon 02-25-08, 01:33 PM What camera did you use?

Lol... That would be a cool job! taking pictures for GM!
I used a Nikon D40 to take those for rruiz, I love that camera!! :D Great pics! I CAN'T WAIT for the nice weather to come, I want to get the Blue Chip all polished up. I'ts depressing to see it with all the salt and road grime on it :( teresed 02-25-08, 05:40 PM My wife and I got the exact same car about three weeks ago. I wanted the Red one but it wasnt fully loaded, so we went with Black. Awsome when its clean. Still havn't read any manuals yet. This is a car where you really need to read all the directions, The NAVI, XM, Onstar etc. there is just so much eye candy here. One last note..... This morning the car would not shut off. Meaning we could not get the ignition switch to turn to off position. Took it to dealer. There is a service bulletin out for the wire harness to tranny. It is a little snug and a couple of pins came loose. The mechanic tugged a little slak and plugged it back in. Hope you all dont have this problem, but it is a quick fix. Crackerzot 02-25-08, 07:24 PM Well, thanks in part to this forum, I found my new car. Now it looks like I've found my new camera! Those were some of the best photos I've seen in this forum on the '08 CTS. I've saved all of the images. Trijicon, great job with the camera. Nikon D40, huh? Gotta get me one of those.
Hey rruiz357 - congratulations on a sensational looking car. It appears your Ebony interior was detailed. It looks very good. Haven't done that with my interior (dash / IP, etc) as yet... still deciding on whether to leave it as factory original (low sheen/natural), or to detail it with a conditioner to a higher sheen.
Best of luck with your new car. Enjoy!!
:spin: Trijicon 02-25-08, 09:19 PM Thanks for the compliments on my picture taking :)
Yup, it is a Nikon D40... Ritz Camera had them on sale with the lense for 499 recently. I bought mine about 6 months ago for 549. It is a great camera without having to spend an arm and a leg!
rruiz357's car was a pleasure to shoot, this car is very photogenic and has great angles to capture. rruiz357 02-26-08, 12:49 AM Ba ba ba ba ba, I'M LOVING IT!!!! Another day with my car and simple stunning. No wonder it's the car of the year!! marine9 03-02-08, 12:50 AM rruiz357, thanks for the information on you purchase. Would you tell me what the charge was to have your CTS delivered to you? I'm checking on ordering one from Arizona also. They have given me a price which is fair, but said he didn't know what the charge would be to Albuquerque. He said he thinks it would around $300-$400 but would have to check with the transport company. How was your experience dealing with the dealership and do you have any suggestions? Thanks again for sharing. rruiz357 03-02-08, 03:47 AM My experience was tremendous! Customer service was great. My sales guy kept me 24/7 informed via: phone, email, text, fax, etc. Feel free to email me at: rruiz01@lausd.net for more information.
Thanks,
rruiz357
P.S. My CTS is awesome! lordbaby 03-02-08, 04:06 AM how come the color of the car in the photos are different from the real one I saw? Yes! Since I dealer was in Phoenix, AZ. It came with a desert package: Tint and other great stuff!
I did not notice the desert package on Caddilac's web site. Is it factory supplied tint or dealer applied it? If it comes from factory option, is it possible to get it in other states?
CTS manual warns against applying aftermarket tint as it may affect radio reception and navigation system performance. This is usually the case when antenna is embedded into rear window. Southern 03-02-08, 02:03 PM Desert packages, etc are dealer defined and installed. Nothing wrong with tint. DON'T use metallic tint, use Ceramic tint. rruiz357 03-02-08, 04:15 PM My car's color is black. The tint was dealer installed! Smooth ride and I turn heads everywhere. |
