Does anyone know if GM will continue the interest rates after 3/3/8? I think they are 1.9% for 36 months, 2.9% for 48 months and 3.9% for 60 months. Planning on placing an order during March.

Usually there is not a huge drop but it's gamble. I ahve a car on ordre with a build date of next week and am trying to get in under the wire with all the incentives I qualify for before 3/3. (luxury conquest, low interest, pull ahead program for leases) Just so you know, my dealer told me as long as he gets a vin number he can write the deal even if the car isn't there yet. Keep that in mind if you are getting close to an incentive date. RustedElvis 02-24-08, 02:22 AM I'm sure they will. They had the same offer ending on January 2nd or so. There is always great interest rates for customers with great credit. Crackerzot 02-24-08, 03:57 AM I went with the 1.9% for 36 month deal. But I hope to have it paid off before the end of '08. marine9 02-24-08, 01:25 PM Thanks for the encouraging input. RQFinMD 02-24-08, 01:55 PM In all my car-buying adventures (including all the stages, i.e. just looking, narrowing down the choices, committing to a choice, taking the plunge) it always seemed like there's a promotion going on (low interest rates, rebates, cash back, etc.) that I would've loved to get in on EXCEPT I'm just not ready quite yet. So, I've come to learn to not worry about it and look forward to any promotions being offered during the time I'm ACTUALLY READY TO BUY. Otherwise, I would go nuts. I've made the mistake of rushing because of the pressure of promotion timelines and I ended up having negative equity and getting "stuck" with a car for 4 years when another car would've suited me better. My advice then is to relax and remember the adage, good things come to those who wait. Of course, there are always exceptions to this "rule" based on personal circumstances...just my 2 cents. fg3 02-24-08, 06:43 PM Nobody really knows, not even the dealers. I don't qualify for luxury conquest (i have a nissan 350z) but my dealer (who I trust completely, btw) told me that even if I did, it cannot be combined with the up to $2k import lease pull-ahead that GM is offering. I'm not doubting you, but just want to make sure you're not expecting something you can't get. | |
