I started moving stuff from my '04 CTS to my new one. I was a little depressed to see there is not much storage room in the '08. I couldn't get half my junk into the center console. Not even room for my sunglass case.
While the glove compartment is alot better, I don't want to always be reaching way over there to store things. If you have Nav, the center console is really limited to a few small objects as the Ipod and USB mounting take up the center of the console. The area right below the armrest if very limited. The door pockets also are reduced in size. Oh well, when I went from my big ass Lincoln to the CTS in '04 I thought, "Wow there's no storage in this car". I guess I'll learn to downsize again.:crying:
What a car though :cloud9:

I had the same problem going from an 04 to an 08. After weeding things out, I realized that, like everything else, I had way too much stuff in the console I never used. Awfully expensive house cleaning!

Can't make excuses for it. It's puny. I try to carry a cell phone, Digital Camera, box of tissues, a few packs of "road mints" and my driving glasses.
Can't be done/PITA. Now my glove compartment does hold all that stuff. As noted not convenient. Put that together with cup holders that require an extra elbow to use..................:p
Wow... and I thought my V had little storage room

I noticed this in my posts before . . . but, if this is all we have to complain about--may we always have it so rough!:crying: Even a rim on the console, making a sort of tray, would have been great for tossing my wallet and phone (rather than an elbow maneuver for the console compartment, which has "stuff" carried in my car, already). What a great car, though! Love driving it!:highfive:
I found that I can fit 2 pairs of sunglasses (without the cases) in the upper compartment of the console. The sunglasses are not large though, so I can see where some glasses may not fit there.

I would guess my old Ray Ban Navigators would fit in there.
But my wrap around Maui Jim's don't even come close.
Well, it's a long way from being a show stopper, but some of the GM employees here said that they pass on product issues to the appropriate people, so maybe this will be addressed in later models.........
And maybe the aftermarket will come up with some innovative storage ideas........

Roll the car a few times in the ditch and one will learn that anything stored in any compartment will be flung out of the car never to be seen again.
My lesson learned = Don't have anything in the car but your butt.
