: Cadillac photoshopping mini-rampage.

Posted this in a currently running pohotoshop thread over in the RWD section, then decided to start a new thread for them over here in the lounge since it was somebody elses thread.

I've been going crazy in Photoshop lately, starting to get better at editing pics. My thing right now is taking old dealer brochure pics and personalizing them.
Firstly, I posted this in the 1989 Brougham Project Thread, but I'll repost here. Started as a 1981 brochure pic, changed the top, added a gold pack, changed the grille and '89'd the front end with crests and rub strips, turning it into something resembling my '89.

Next, I found a higher-resolution scan from the '79 brochure of The Phaetons, so it inspired me to do some work. I always wanted to see what it would look like without the sedan in the background, so I did that first, along with slightly raising the front of the Coupe. It sat a little low before, Cadillac liked to mess with the ride height in their brochures.
Coupe only
Quick crop
Personalizing. Tinted the rear windows like mine has, and added the 392-DIP plate & reflective strip between the rub strips. I like how this turned out.

This one was more of a challenge, it was a lot of firsts for me, and a push of skill, but I think it turned out okay. Started as a 1977 brochure pic, but I liked the whole package, so I tried to put my car in it.. lol. I think I kinda messed up the top, but that was a bitch to do, believe me. Notice the grille, squared off header panel, and tinted parking lights.
So, tell me what you think. I crave feedback! :bouncy: lol.

You, my friend, are truly talented. Hey, if I sent you a pic of mine, could you do something custom with it?

Nice work, Ben! My oldest son likes Jasc Paint Shop Pro, and has done some cool stuff to photos--not cars though. I'd like to send you a photo or two as well...

That 1977 picture with the 3 cars..... it would be cool if you made the grey one into the '89. then the back one into the '90.... not that would be something neat!

To quote a famous song by Styx:

"Too much time on my hands, it's ticking away with my sanity
I've got too much time on my hands, it's hard to believe such a calamity
I've got too much time on my hands and it's ticking away from me
Too much time on my hands, too much time on my hands
Too much time on my hands "

haha, I already started messing with the grey one. Doing the whole body would be a massive undertaking, but I already have a version with the black top & gold package.

And yes, too much time, it's called insomnia. :banghead:

If anybody wants to post requests for custom stuff, feel free, no guarantees though, lol.

You did a really nice job with the 77 brochure, though the grille looks suspiciously closer to 78 than 79. Just picking nits. ;)

Yeah, I thought the same thing about the grille. But both '77 & '79 are five squares high, where the '78 is three. So technically it should work. Must be the picture.

niiiiice, i like the one with the tree as well, the only conspicuous part was the top. can you walk me thru how you did that? i might be able to offer some constructive criticism

the grille on the last one was perfect too, i mean perfectly blended in, i dont know enough about those models to know if it was "correct" but it sure looked good
