went to the cadillac dealer today for a interior light (passenger seat controls light) turns out its discontinued, well i asked the dealer if there was any place i could get one, he informed me there is a place in wisconsin that buys up GM's discontinued stocks, i forgot what the place was called but they had 64 of the bulbs in stock, the dealer ordered it for me and they'll have it tommorow :P think the place was called vintage GM or sumthing like that

You are talking about Vintage Parts, aka VPI. They are at http://www.vpartsinc.com/ but good luck with using the site.

you mean the housing fo rthe light or the bulb itself. i usally find those hard to find parts on ebay junkyards are great but they are much a hassle but you might find a treasure once in a while
The Sylvania web site has listings for the bulb types that are used on specific make/model/year although they are sometimes wrong (they will sometimes show two bulbs and you get to guess which is right). You can get the bulbs just about anywhere. I am going to convert all my interior bulbs to LED at some point this year.
