: Has anyone recently bought a used '07 Escalade?

Hey everyone I am new to the board but have been lurking recently. I am very interested in buying a used '07 Escalade as soon as I sell my Titan and I have a quick question. Are the dealer's budging at all on their asking prices? I would imagine that you could get maybe one to two thousand, maybe three thousand, off what they are asking. Does anyone have any feedback?

Also I am about 95% certain that the Titan and the GM products have the same bolt patterns. Can anyone back this up?

Thanks!!

Here In Kansas City used 07 Escalades are 47K-55K depending on options and miles. I bought a new 08 Escalade EXT about 6 weeks ago, sticker was about 64,500 and I bought it for about 59,000.

I had a Titan, but I dont know if the wheel pattern is the same. Hope the info helps you and good luck!

The only problem that I am having with a new one is the immediate depreciation. I can get into an Escalade here in Texas for anywhere from $38,800 and up with low mileage, obviously depending on options. I just don't see the point in taking a $15,000-$20,000 hit. Just my opinion everyone, I don't want to offend.

I have seen a lot on these forums about wind noise but have not looked too deep into it. Are the '07's having a lot of wind noise problems? Is there a certain speed that I should be sure and drive at when I do a test drive?

Is it happening on all or just some of the '07's? Is there a factory fix for the noise?

Just some of them. You've got to test drive for it. There are some factory fixes. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Read up on it all in this forum. Then go shopping knowing what you're looking for and what you're looking to avoid.

Why can't one ask for a Carfax report? This way you should be able to avoid the two afore mentioned issues, right?

Carfax is a tool that will help in buying, but do not count on them being 100% correct, many things like warranty work will never show up, you can have a GM dealer look into the history thru their network

I have seen them for 35k, and for 50k, I was offered 48k for mine, it's almost a year and a half old, low miles, it was 67k new and paid under 60k for it new.

No. I like mine so much I would buy it out of the lease if GM would give me that deal, and mine is not as loaded as yours. No NAV, no 22s, no power boards (just cooled seats/roof/ and chrome 18s). They want 49K to buy it out now (only 10 months into my 39 month lease). They want 36K for it at the end of the lease. Though I know it will be over market priced then, I may still buy it as i know its history and it will be spotless with low miles. So, no, you did not get jipped.

If it were me, I'd wait a bit and get a used 08. 07's, especially early ones were a bit buggy. GM took my first one back and built me a second one which wasn't significantly better than the first (although, at least the window didn't fall out of the second!) 08's and even late 07's are much better.

i have an early '07. so far problems:

-paint is clean and spotless but quite orange peeled (diamond white)
-just a hint of wind noise over 60mph. not really that noticeable (atleast to me)
-transmission shifting is a bit buggy, hesitates to downshift, and sometimes clunks when coasting and then step on it. think there is a TCM flash update that i need (mine is an early 07) any ideas?

other than those three things, its flawless. just got my 08 navdisc.

There were/are a few calibrations (software updates) available for the 07's and at least one related to the TCM as I recall. Definitely worth the trip to the dealer!

Got my maroon '07 EXT, 13000 miles, with dual headrest DVD install included, for $38600. The Chevy dealer selling it (in VA) had it on their lot for a month or so . . . I kept in contact, and they ~clearly~ needed to get rid of it.

Oh -- for all you military peeps -- the sweetest part of the deal was getting financing thru USAA. They count previous model year as "new," so even tho I was buying it used with 13k miles on it, I was still able to get new APR. Something worth checking out, regardless.

Just picked up a Black/Cashmere 2007 EXT with 8,400 miles yesterday. It has no Nav, Climate or Rear DVD, but the dealer just installed a set of the GM Accessory 8 Spoke 22's and new tires.

I Paid $36,000.00 for it. Not a spot on the interior, and nothing ever in the bed!!! It was $56,395.00 MSRP, and the 22's with tires were about 3K dealer cost.
