Just picked up an 03 for the wife today. Base radio with AM/FM/XM/CD/Tape, no Bose/RDS. Is this doable by adding the right amps/speakers in addition to the HU or is it much more involved and not worth it...?
I can always throw one of my Garmins up on the dash...

what do you want
to add stock nav to a non bose car
i do it all the time
price is 650 for the unit and modified harness to adapt your car to plug and play
i also adapt the nav for an aux vid and audio input
from there youll need a gps antenna (about 60 bucks)
a nav disc (about 50 bucks)
and a trip to the dealer to program the nav with your vin

What I'm looking for in the audio realm would be Nav, non Bose, XM and preferably a good bluetooth integration. Is that doable without Bose? From what I was reading the bluetooth adaptors require RDS which seem to only come on the Bose radios (at least in my year).
I am reasonably decent with doing my own work, electrical and mechanical.

you can add a BOSE rds radio to your car no problem
a BOSE nav radio though requires major repinning
so basically what im saying anything is doable with enough money
