well i would like to introduce myself, my name is scott and the 2000 DTS is my dads. it need alot of work rite now as it has almost 400k miles. he complains alot about it and me, well i look at it as a positive for lasting as long as it did maybe ill convince him to stay in the Cadillac picture longer but as of rite now HES not happy. anyways im new to the forum and im having trouble finding where to find the forsale section all i see is the vendors but its almost always cheaper to find someone parting the car compared to buying from a store any help would be greatly appreciated. or i might just part out my DTS so anyone interested let me know. the interior is shot from the windows not going up after the motor for them died but theres other parts that are still good. and for the most part the dash and two front seats are in ok condition once i clean them up a little

400k, Damn. Id be happy. Did he have any major probelms within that 400k miles?

Looks like it took it well. Though those wheels gotta go.

the wheels had to come bcuz the stocks got stolen, we found it sitting on milk crates and 4am one morning when we got home, the only probs we had was the alternator went out a few times, and thats whats wrong with it now. it sucks tho its almost 800-1000 to get that fixed alone. so with 400k miles its just not worth it

the only thing that anoys me is he doesnt take full care of his cars. this thing could still be running fine today and still going past 400k if it was mine

Damn! 400K on the original engine and head gaskets? That should go into a GM Northstar museum (sans those rims)

Looks like the interior is black, if you are planning to part it out I might be interested in some stuff. Feel free to e-mail me through the site or just post here.

Good luck with whatever you do with her.

He's not happy because the car quit after 400K miles? What else does he own that's done better than that? The windows are a simple fix, no need to let it sit there and collect water. That was a nice car.

I am looking for the chrome trim piece, could be painted, at the top of the grill. It is 36" X 1 1/2" and tapered at the ends.

:yeah:

Plus a few more months...Try e-bay or a scrap yard, you will most likely find something there.
