Took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation (6000 miles) and a wind noise from the driver's window. Came out with a large white scrape on the back bumper (my car is blue). :(
They didn't even say anything about it. I happened to notice it before I got in the car as I walked around the back.
I have to say that they immediately took responsibility for it (after I pointed it out) and called out the manager who assured me they would fix it to my satisfaction.
However, for a person who is meticulous about his cars, (I park at the end of the parking lot to avoid nicks and dings), this is very disturbing.
I know things happen, but don't like it when they happen to me!

I had a simular thing happen, only I didn't notice it before I left the dealership. My advice is to look your car over, bumper to bumper before leaving the dealer. Once you leave, they can deny it happen there.

Things like that happen and the dealer is standup if they agree to fix it, lots of dealers arent so nice.

You mean they do not take responsibility for their actions?

Thats how my parents gave me my CTS. My father had told me that they had ordered it. Well i knew I would have to fly back to Houston from Tuscaloosa to get it. My parents called me the day before I flew back and told me that it had gotten hit in the dealers lot. They went throught the whole song and dance event he dealer was in on it. The cover was they were taking me down to take a look at it and see if we were just gonna order another one. Well they took me back to their body shop and there it was shining like a diamond with a big bow on top.
That really sucks about youre car man. At least the dealer has agreed to fix it. Although i couldnt see how they wouldnt. Hope it all works out.

Happened to me also. Got my car Sunday and it had a scratch on the right side of the front bumper. I didn't notice it until I got home. Took it to the dealer and they took care of me no questions asked.
You should see the gouges that Goodyear put on my spare tire rim when they mounted the tire. I think they must've put the thing on their special rim gouging machine for 10 minutes and turned it up to 11. At least it's hidden beneath the floor of the trunk.

It happened to me too and didn’t notice it until I got home.
Fortunately it was a minor scratch under the driver side. A good polishing did the trick of removing it…

If you ever get a small dent, try to find a "Paintless Auto Repair Shop". They have one in the Atlanta area that is fantastic. The dent will be taken out with no painting necessary. Shops like this are all around the country.
