I have a problem with my 1992 Brougham. there is water on Passenger side carpet on the firewall and down next to the trans hump. My mechanic has sealed everything poss. on the a/c system and it still is getting wet when I use the a/c.
The drain elbow may be plugged or missing. Look on the passenger side firewall, down under the heater hose connections, sort of behind the wheel well. There will be a little fitting, and there should be a rubber 90 degree elbow on it that points down. If it is still there, pull it off, and make sure it and the fitting are clear. I'll bet it is gone. You can get another one, or just put long piece of tube on it that points down to the ground.
Here is a pic of one with the elbow where the owner added more hose so it doesn't drip on the frame:
I just realized that you have a 92. The advice I posted was for the 93-up. I'm sure the 92s have a drain, too - I'm just not sure that it is in the exact same spot. Can someone else check? I can't open the hood of my 81 without moving one of my other cars...
Does anybody have ideas? The botom of the floormat is wet like it has condesation on it.
