While doing my lease paperwork the F & I guy asked me is this a 10k or a 12k milelage deal? We had already agreed as to what the monthly payment was. Since they had treated me so well I wasn't going to lie and say it was 12k, when I knew it was 10k, so I said 10k. I'll always wonder though, had I said it was a 12k deal, would they have ever noticed the error?

Yes. The mileage changes the residual, and had they done it incorrectly they'd have asked you back to recontract (either that or it wouldn't have balanced when he printed it, called the Sales Manager, and they'd have reminded you that you agreed to a price based on 10k).

Thanks Tony, makes me even feel better that I did the right thing, as I always do. Dubbed- only in the Catholic religion is it a sin to even think you want to do something wrong. I just wanted to check;)
